The correct method for selecting a cat is not to consider which is best, but which is best for you, your home, and your lifestyle. We want to know a little bit about you, your home, and your preferences so that we may accurately match you with our rescued cats.

Do you want a cat that requires a great deal of personal interaction, or one that prefers a greater degree of solitude? There are those that are very active, and those that sleep much of the time and some cats need to be groomed more often. Which is a plus or minus?

We are a boots on the ground rescue operation, and do not have a shelter at a fixed location, so our rescued cats are housed comfortably in volunteer foster homes, thus avoiding over-crowded shelters conditions and the inherent potential of exposure to viruses and or diseases.

We usually know the personalities of the cats and kittens we rescue, so we can tell you which might be the best match for you and/or the feline companion you already have. We will ask you to sign an adoption agreement, and we will photograph you with your new furry friend.

Regardless of how an animal comes to us, we provide food, shelter, medical care, and love. We are looking to you to provide them with a permanent, safe, and loving home.

What are the requirements?

You be asked to fill out our adoption questionnaire, consult with an adoption representative, and present two valid forms of photo identification. (A New York State License is highly recommended). If you currently have a pet, please provide your veterinary doctor reference and your pet’s medical records to verify vaccination and blood test status.

What if the adoption does not work out?

We will always take them back FOR ANY REASON. We will also work with you to place them in another good home if the adoption doesn’t work out. You don’t have to give them away, or take them to the city pound where they may be killed. Just call us and we will arrange to take them back.
